[Urbex] Cold War medical bunker in Belgium

[Urbex] Cold War medical bunker in Belgium

During the Covid-19 chaos, it has given the chance for us to explore other places around Europe. This is the first of a few reports that will be posted of other Urbex locations throughout the world.

This bunker is located on the edge of a still active airport in Belgium, and has had surprisingly little damage considering the door is wide open!

The information I can find is just that it was used to treat military pilots that were based at the airfield, and was built as a bunker due to the improved ability to survive a bomb attack.

Compared to Soviet cold war bunkers, this is not as deep and not as well constructed. The Soviets really took things seriously, with independent power supplies and everything. This place is more like a basement.
