An emotional funeral to the Honorary Citizen of the Narovlya region, liquidator of the disaster at the Chernobyl nuclear power plant, Ivan Shavrey.
Ivan died at the age of 65, his funeral being held near the Narovlya regional department for emergency situations. About two hundred people came to say goodbye to the liquidator.
The ceremony was attended by the chairman of the regional executive committee Sergei Dylyuk, the chairman of the regional council of deputies Alla Naumenko, representatives of public associations, labor collectives.
The head of the ideology department of the regional department of the Ministry of Emergency Situations Alexander Kotlyarov, the chairman of the regional Belarusian public organization of veterans of bodies and units for emergency situations “Rescuer” Dmitry Burminsky came to say goodbye to Ivan Mikhailovich.
