More illegal visitors to Chernobyl have been arrested

Chernobyl Zone police have identified several groups of extreme tourism seekers.

The other day, while patrolling the Chernobyl zone near the resettled city of Pripyat, police found 7 violators who illegally entered the exclusion zone bypassing checkpoints.

It is established that all of them – Kyivans, aged from 23 to 38, arrived in the Chernobyl zone for the purpose of extreme tourism.

With regard to all violators, the police drew up reports under Art. 46-1 (Violation of the requirements of the radiation safety regime in areas that have been radioactively contaminated) of the Code of Ukraine on Administrative Offenses.

Administrative materials were sent to the court for a decision.
