Chernobyl Police arrest illegal trespassers in Poliske

Police found illegal tourists in the exclusion zone

On January 5, while patrolling the territory of the exclusion zone in the resettled village of Poliske, officers of the G1 Police Department (Chornobyl) of the Vyshhorod District Police Department found four 19-year-old illegal tourists.

Three of the offenders are residents of Kyiv, and one girl is a native of Moscow. All of them entered the territory of the Chernobyl zone for the purpose of extreme tourism, bypassing checkpoints.

Regarding violators, the police drew up reports under Art. 46-1 (Violation of the requirements of the radiation safety regime in areas subject to radioactive contamination) of the Code of Ukraine on Administrative Offenses.

Administrative materials were sent to the court for a decision.

The Chernobyl Zone Police also sent a petition to the State Migration Service to reduce the length of stay of a citizen of the Russian Federation in Ukraine.
