Another ChNPP worker died on the front lines

Yuriy Vikharev, from Slavutych, will forever be 35.

Fighting back the invaders, on September 23, his life ended near in the Kharkiv region.

During Yuriy’s childhood studies, he engaged in sports, and was fond of boxing. This was followed by military service and studies at the Sevastopol University of Nuclear Energy and Industry. He worked as an engineer in the electrical workshop of the Chornobyl NPP.

From the first day of the full-scale Russian invasion of Ukraine, Yuriy volunteered to serve in the defence of Slavutych and heroically, together with his brothers, defended his hometown from the enemy. Thus began his new page as a Warrior-Defender of his native land.

He served in the 92nd separate mechanized brigade named after Ivan Sirk, who chose the slogan “Honor to himself, glory to Ukraine!”. Together with his comrades, he participated in the counteroffensive for the liberation of the Kharkiv region.

In the memory of his relatives, friends, brothers, he will remain a reliable friend, a man of honor, decency, kindness, who had a wonderful sense of humor.

Deep condolences and a low bow to the relatives and friends of the Defender.
