Contamination Zone is a group of people who are united by our love for the Chernobyl Zone – we spend large parts of our life talking and teaching about the zone because it is so much more than “just a place” or “just a job” to us.
We are a small team with many years of experience in Ukraine, Pripyat and Chernobyl. Some of us have experience in tourism, some of us have experience in transport and logistics, others have experience in planning and office based tasks.
Due to the invasion that started in February 2022, the Chernobyl Zone has been closed off, and we are not currently able to offer trips to that area. However, as a team that loves and cares for the zone deeply, we are now offering trips to the liberated territories of Ukraine.
We are a dedicated and experienced team with various backgrounds in tourism, logistics, planning, and more, and our collective passion for the Chernobyl Zone unites us. Unlike other companies, we do not make a profit for our directors. Instead, we reinvest the money we earn from our trips back into the zone, supporting animal welfare programs, firefighting equipment, and memorial maintenance.
