Kopachi Kindergarten

Kopachi village is located between Chernobyl and Pripyat. It was mainly wooden buildings that after the disaster were demolished and buried in the ground.

At the time, it was not known that this would make radioactive isotopes sink deeper into the ground and then contaminate the water.

This building is one of only a handful left standing in this village, it was not destroyed as it was made of brick and would have taken too long.
