Piano store

Whilst often referred to as a piano shop, this building was actually a liquor store.

After the disaster, the building was used to store pianos that had been in people apartments. Nobody seems to be sure why this happened, but the pianos are still there today.

Apparently the residents of Pripyat nicknamed this shop “The Mausoleum”, in reference to the long queues that were frequently found here.
