Consisting of one main room for sports activities, with some smaller offices and changing rooms, this complex named “Avantgarde” is the largest single hall I have seen in the exclusion zone.
The barrels contain washing powder – next to this facility there is a laundry facility that was still operational for more than 30 years after the accident to wash power plant clothing – we assume that a batch went bad and they decided to dump it here.
